Sis. Keevie W. Hairston was born on November 19, 1973, in Martinsville, VA, to Henry and Cynthia Williams of Cascade, VA. She has two younger siblings Melanie and Brittany. She was educated in Pittsylvania County Schools, graduating from Tunstall High School in 1991, where she was a track & field standout and also played girls basketball. Sis. Keevie received her Associate’s degree in Applied Science, majoring in Office Systems Technology from Danville Community College in 1993 and a Certificate from Patrick Henry Community College in 2010 majoring in the Piedmont Community Services Leadership Academy. She obtained the designation Certified Professional Secretary in May 2008 and the designation Certified Administrative Professional in May 2009 from the International Association of Administrative Professionals of which she is currently a member. Sis. Keevie has also been appointed and commissioned as a Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Sis. Hairston was raised at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church in Axton, VA, under the leadership of Bishop Edward C. Martin. Accepting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she was baptized in Jesus name at St. Paul by Eld. David Gravely at the age of 18. She sang in the Youth Ensemble, attended ABYPU, and VBS. Being introduced to her companion to be, Eld. Chris, she soon moved her membership to Shiloh Way of the Cross Church in February 1996 under the pastorship of Bishop Earley Dillard. There she participated on the Junior Usher Board, sang in the Radio Choir and the Ministers of Music, treasurer of the Dodson Five, and corresponding/recording secretary with the local Youth for Christ department. She received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost in August 2000.
Sis. Keevie is currently employed as the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director of Piedmont Community Services in Martinsville, VA. She also serves as the Church Administrator for Triumph Way of the Cross Church and Kingdom Kids Coordinator. Under the past leadership of the office of Second Vice President Eld. Travell Travis and currently Second Vice President Eld. Eric Cannady, Sis. Hairston has served as the editor of the National Youth for Christ Newsletter, The MESSENGER for eleven years. She also previously assisted her husband, Eld. Hairston, when he worked as the Membership Chairman over registration under the then Second Vice President Eld. Travis. Also in her care has been the ordering of various awards and trophies for National Youth for Christ events.
Sis. Keevie was married to Eld. Christopher S. Hairston in January 2000 and they have been blessed with two handsome sons, Ethan and Israel. Faithfully, she has been supporting her husband in developing a successful ministry at Triumph Church drawing souls to Christ. The Hairstons currently reside in the Roanoke Valley.
